BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Brooksville man faces charges in a shooting incident in the city over the weekend.
Police Chief Reginald Adams tells WTVA.com Dennis Davis, 21, was arrested Monday night in connection with the shooting at the location of a party on Sherod Street Saturday night.
Adams says Davis apparently became upset and fire three shots from a .40 caliber handgun.
Two of the bullets went through the door of a car, but Adams says luckily no one was injured.
Davis has been charged with felony malicious mischief and discharging a firearm in the city limits.
Adams says its the second time in recent weeks officers have been called to the location.
In a previous incident, a woman was intoxicated when she drove her car into two other vehicles, then left the scene before running her car into a Brooksville police car.
Adams says the parties were held at a business that operates as a day care during the week.
He says the owners rent to the property out on weekends for the parties, which he says patrons bring their own alcohol.
Adams plans to ask city leaders to review and strengthen city ordinances to limit the parties.
