Getting ready to move more "super loads"

NOXUBEE CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- Weather permitting, Burkhalter Rigging will move four ‘large vessels’ along a designated route from Bigbee Valley at Highway 388 to the Kemper County Power Plant site on Highway 493.

Each load will be 18 feet wide, 21 feet high, 132 feet long and weigh over 201 tons.

Each load will be transported by a truck and trailer with 22 axles.

Crews will temporarily close sections of Highway 388, Highway 45, Highway 16, and Highway 493 during the move.

Roadway message boards will be on display Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9 to alert motorists of the upcoming move and subsequent closures.

The move will begin between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9.

Each closed roadway will be reopened by 6:00 a.m. on July 10.
