MACON, Miss. (WTVA/Macon Beacon) - Noxubee County authorities are investigating the Tuesday shooting death of a man at his business.

The Macon Beacon reports Tony Pippin, 36, was found lying in the doorway of the Pip'N Wings Shack on Patterson Drive in the Cedar Creek community Tuesday night.

He died a short time later at Noxubee General Hospital.

Sheriff Terry Grassaree tells the Beacon the shooting happened shortly before midnight.

The Beacon report says Grassaree opened the eatery earlier this year.

The paper also says one person has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation.
