JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Mississippi lawmakers are considering a bill to create a scenic roadway in parts of Choctaw, Noxubee, and Winston County.
The bill currently in the Senate would promotes the creation of the Noxubee Hills Route.
The roadway would begin on Choctaw Lake Road at Highway 15 south of Ackerman.
The 43-mile route would run past Choctaw Lake, Bluff Lake, Loakfoma Lake, the Sam Hamilton Wildlife Refuge, and through the Tombigbee National Forest.
The roadway would end at Highway 45 in Brooksville.
The house has already passed the measure.
