WINONA, Miss. (WTVA) – MedStat EMS, Inc. in Winona has been purchased by a national organization.

American Medical Response, a subsidiary of Envision Healthcare Holdings, Inc., announced it acquired the Mississippi company as well as Life Line Ambulance in Prescott, Arizona.

Officials say the businesses are in key targeted locations and will generate an estimated $36 million in annual revenues and allow for the employment of more than 250 clinicians and support team members for American Medical Response.

American Medical Response, Inc. is a leading provider of medical transportation and employs more than 18,000 people.

The company, headquartered in Colorado, helps nearly 3 million patients nationwide each year.
