AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Amory police have charged two men with aggravated assault following a weekend disturbance in the city.
Police Chief Ronnie Bowen says officers were called to a home on J Avenue Saturday night around 11:30 following a 911 hang-up call.
Bowen says officers knocked on the door of the home and the man who answered had been beaten and stabbed.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a Tupelo hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Bowen say the man identified his attackers as Roderick R. McKissack, 37, of Amory and Kelvin L. Spratt, 36, of Aberdeen.
He says both men were arrested on Sunday and charged with aggravated assault.
Both men are being held on a $25,000 bond.
