AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) - The talents of some Amory young people are on display right now at the Amory Regional Museum.
A gingerbread house exhibit is open to the public.
Students in Amory Schools' culinary arts program created the holiday displays.
They say it takes a lot of time and patience but that, in the end, the final product makes their hard work all worth it.
Some of the ingredients used on the houses are made by the students themselves.
Teacher Dianne Young said, "We make our own gingerbread. It's a construction gingerbread. We also make our icing."
Student A.J. Isbell said, "It feels great to be a part of this and for people to see your work on display."
The teacher says she expects her second year students to improve upon their previous year's work when creating the gingerbread houses.
The display at the Amory museum runs until after Christmas.
