HATLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - It's that time of the year again for students.

State testing is underway across the Magnolia state for high school students.

Testing is built on four subject areas for high school students.

Students tested in English 2 on Monday, and in the days ahead tests will be in on Algebra 1, U.S. History and Biology 1.

"The assesment can sometimes wear a student down. So, our teachers do a great job with motivation and just team building for this opportunity," stated Jeff Brooks, assistant principal at Hatley High School.

Results for state testing are expected to be released after the first of July.
