Plea change set in sex offender registration case

ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) -- Federal court records say man intends to plead guilty to failing to register as a sex offender.
 
Alexander Jones was indicted in March on a charge of failing to update is sex offender registration in Illinois and failing to register in Mississippi from January 2011 to February 2013.
 
He pleaded not guilty in April. A change of plea hearing is scheduled for June 24 in U.S. District Court in Aberdeen, Miss.
 
Jones was convicted in 2008 on a charge of sexually exploiting a child in Peoria, Ill.
 
His attorney, Gregory Park, had no comment.
