MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Wren man has died after a one-vehicle accident Saturday night in Greenwood Springs.
Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley said Randal "Shawn" Phillips, 42, of Wren, failed to stop at the intersection of Highways 278 and 8.
The coroner said Phillips collided head-on with a tree and died at the scene.
It happened at 10:10 p.m. No other vehicles were involved.
Gurley said Phillips was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
