AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) — The city of Amory was recently awarded a $15,000 Let's Go Play grant to pay for a new playground at the Gilmore Sportsplex.
"This is another nice enhancement where people can come out as families and have a picnic meal out here," said Howard Boozer, mayor of Amory. "They'll have playground equipment for the children."
Plans call for work to begin on the new playground sometime within 60-to-90 days.
The project should be finished and ready for people to use in time for the spring season.
