HAMILTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- WTVA has obtained photos of the location of a plane that crashed Friday night in Monroe County.

The photos show the plane laying on its roof in a swampy area west of the Tronox plant in Hamilton.

Ricky Ford III of Irvington, Alabama was the pilot of the plane that went down around 11 p.m. Friday.

He managed to get out of the plane and walk to a nearby restaurant.

Monroe County EMA Director Robert Goza says the only way to reach to wreckage was on foot.

FAA officials in Atlanta tell WTVA.com no decision has been made on whether the plane will be removed.
