ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Amory man on house arrest for a drug violation has been arrested after authorities found heroin during a traffic stop.
Monroe County authorities say James Patrick Chaney, 25, was arrested Friday during a traffic stop on Highway 6.
They say a canine gave a positive indication there were drugs inside the vehicle during the stop.
Chaney is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities say the house arrest was for sale of a controlled substance in Oktibbeha County.
