ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Monroe County Sheriff Department needs your help over the next few weeks, as they try to help the needy during Christmas.

The canned food and toy drive is underway now until December 14.
If anyone wishes to donate, here is a list of locations:
Food Giant in Amory, Walmart in Amory, Carlisle Cleaners in Amory, Monroe County Sheriff Dept. in Aberdeen and Wren Volunteer Fire Dept. in Wren.
The sheriff's department would like to have care packages available to residents the week before Christmas.
To be eligible for this program you must be a resident of Monroe County.
You have to provide a name, physical address and contact phone number for the head of the household of the family in need.
