OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Okolona man has pleaded guilty for his role in an attempt to distribute cocaine in north Mississippi.
Walter Hampton entered a guilty plea in U. S. District Court on Monday to charges of conspiracy to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine and attempting to conduct financial transactions involving the proceeds of specified unlawful activity.
Hampton is one of several people charged in connection with the discovery of large quantities of cocaine being delivered or having been delivered
to North Mississippi.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
Darrell Donald and Thaddeus Heard entered guilty pleas in the case last week.
