JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- People needing a sports permit of license in Mississippi can now apply online.
The Mississippi Athletic Commission announced the change in the process on Friday.
MAC Chairman Jon Lewis says the online process will save time for the applicants and the commission to issue a license of permit.
Licenses for boxers, mixed martial arts contestants, wrestlers, referees, timekeepers, judges, and more, are available to purchase online through the combatant sports licensing application
Promoters and matchmakers can purchase an event permit online after quickly entering their event information in a few streamlined steps.
The fully mobile responsive applications may be viewed on any mobile device and Lewis says they can typically be completed within five minutes.
