GREENVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Greenville man will be held until a grand jury can decide if he was involved in the robbery of a bank in the city last week.
Wilbert Parish, Jr., 31, is accused in federal court papers of the being the mastermind behind a hold up at the Planters Bank and Trust in Greenville on September 10.
In their request to have him held without bond, federal authorities say Parish provided the weapons, planned the robbery and diverted law enforcement by calling in a bomb threat to a local school.
Authorities say nearly $600,000 was taken in the holdup, but was later recovered after the dye pack exploded.
WABG in Greenville reports Parish is also suspected of bank robberies in Missouri and Arizona.
Greenville police have also arrested Freddie Clark, 26, Warren Williams, 19, and Derotha Williams, 29, for their involvement in the hold-up.
