JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Commission on the Status of Women is encouraging women to make sure their name on their photo ID and name on county voter rolls is the same.

Some women may have their maiden name on voter rolls but their married name on photo ID.

The Secretary of State's office says local officials can determine whether a name on photo ID and a name on county voter polls are similar.

According to officials, voters who lack acceptable photo ID can cast their vote and present an acceptable form of identification within five days to the Circuit Clerk’s Office.

For women wanting to ensure their name is the same on both, they can update their voter registration information at a Circuit Clerk's office by May 3.
