WASHINGTON (WTVA) -- Mississippi Congressman Alan Nunnelee will undergo radiation and chemotherapy treatment soon.
Nunnelee's office released a statement Friday saying he is currently continuing recovery on his speech and left side mobility at the TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, Texas.
He had an operation to remove a mass from the right side of his brain in June.
While doctors are pleased with his recovery, he will have to go to Johns Hopkins in Maryland in a couple of weeks for radiation and chemotherapy treatment and outpatient rehabilitation.
Nunnelee's spokesperson says he is committed to recovery, communicating to his family and staff, “attitudes are contagious, so you better make sure yours is worth catching.”
His family says they are thankful for the prayers and support during this time.
