WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Authorities say a Louisville man faces a Felony Fleeing charge after a high speed chase Wednesday night in Winston County.

The Winston County Sheriff's Department says William Brown, 39, is out on bond.

Authorties say a deputy stopped a vehicle for careless driving around 6-30 Wednesday night on Smith Lake Road.

The driver reportedly sped away and lead authorities on a high speed chase down Highway 15.
Officials say the driver wrecked the vehicle on Harper Road.

The sheriff's department says Brown has been charged with Felony Fleeing, no driver's license and various traffic violations.

Winston County Sheriff Jason Pugh says that authorities are waiting on blood work results and that there could be an additional charge.
