Four people killed in early morning accident

COPIAH CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a two vehicle accident just before 7:30a.m. resulted in four deaths.

Investigators say a Chevy Cobalt, driven by Anita Teasley, 67, of Crystal Springs, entered the intersection of Highway 27 and Lee Road.  

An 18 wheeler, driven by Anthony Jackson, 45, of Jackson, was traveling south on Highway 27 and collided with the car, driven by Teasley.

Teasley, along with her three young passengers were killed in the crash.  Those victims include Gavin Tompkins, 6, , Gunner Tompkins, 3, and Makenna Teasley, 15 months.
 
Jackson was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. 

No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
