COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Lowndes County authorities have charged a woman with murder after a domestic disturbance ended with the death of one of the people involved.

Investigators say Chaddy Mae Brooks, 28, of Columbus is being held on a $100,000 bond in the stabbing death of Daniel Gore, 37.

Authorities say deputies were called to the Cypress Park Apartments on South Lehmberg Road around 11 a.m. Friday about a disturbance involving a knife.

Gore died at the scene after being stabbed with a kitchen knife.

The knife was recovered by investigators.

Brooks was taken to the Lowndes County sheriff's office by a deputy for questioning and was later charged in Gore's death.
