Two women killed in crash

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Two women from Macon are dead, following an accident involving a Mack truck.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened Thursday, around 7:00 p.m. on US 82, just west of MS Highway 791.

Investigators say Antonio Gregory, 28, of Columbus was driving a Ford Crown Victoria east with two passengers, Taesha Young, 28 and Angela Dame, 43, both of Macon.
 
Authorities say the Crown Victoria became disabled and was slowing to a stop in the left lane of traffic when an east bound 2011, white Mack truck driven by Timothy Lee Webb, 58,of Amory, collided with the rear of the Crown Victoria.

Angela Dame was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taesha Young was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital, where she died of her injuries.

Mr. Gregory managed to escape the vehicle prior to the crash and sustained little to no injuries.

Mr. Webb, the driver of the Mack sustained minor injuries and was not transported.
