JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A special election has been set in Mississippi House District 36.
Governor Phil Bryant has set the election for March 12.
The election will fill the seat left vacant with the death of Representative David Gibbs earlier this month.
The qualifying deadline for candidates is February 11.
If no candidate receives a majority of votes cast in the special election, a runoff election will be held April 2.
