COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- On Saturday, November 24, officers with the Columbus Police Department conducted a traffic stop at  the corner of Warpath Road and Lehmberg Road for failure to stop at a stop sign.

A search of the vehicle revealed a shake and bake style methamphatemine lab and numerous items considered as precursors and drug paraphernalia.

Precursors are ingredients used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Columbus/Lowndes Metro narcotic agents were called to the scene to process the lab.

The two occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest.

Anna Marie Forrester, 23, and Tina Waldrop, 29, both of Columbus, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and were transported to the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center and are currently awaiting bond.
