COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Columbus man has pleaded not guilty to federal drug charges.

Authorities say Cedric Calmes, 33, was one of three people arrested on March 15, 2011 by the Columbus Lowndes Metro Narcotics Unit and Columbus SWAT.

Authorities served a search warrant on a home on Dan Buddy Road and seize seven ounces of cocaine, 1.7 pounds of marijuana, a .45 caliber handgun and over $9,000.

Calmes was indicted by a federal grand jury in October on two counts of possession of controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

He was arraigned Thursday morning in U. S. District Court in Oxford.
