OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Columbus man has been indicted by a federal grand jury following his arrest in April on child pornography charges by state and local authorities.
The federal indictment accuses Tyler Lofton, 30, with possession of materials containing child pornography.
In April, the Mississippi Attorney General Task Force on Cyber Crimes and Lowndes County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Logton on charges of exploitation of a minor.
At the time, they say the investigation turned up images of children on his computer.
The federal indictment and local investigators say the images dated back to December of 2012.
Lofton has pleaded not guilty to to the federal charges and is currently free on a $5,000 bond.
