Man arrested in connection with church burglary

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Officials say a Columbus man is being held on multiple charges related to a church burglary.

Oktibbeha County investigators say it involved the burglary of the Sixteen Section Baptist Church.

Authorities say they have arrested Dustin K. Wright, 28, of Columbus on two counts of Burglary Of A Church, one county Burglary Of A Commercial Building, one count of Possession Of Burglary Tools, one count of Attempted Burglary, and one count of Grand Larceny.

The Sheriff's Department says Wright is being held on a $30,000 bond.

They say the investigation continues and that more arrests are possible.

The Starkville Police Department assisted in the investigation.
