COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Noxubee County man has been charged following a high-speed chase through the southern end of Lowndes County.

Chief Deputy Mark Miley says Anthony Skinner, 39, of Macon was arrested following the pursuit.

Miley says a deputy attempted to pull Skinner over for speeding and the chase began.

He says the pursuit lasted for several miles and Skinner nearly hit several vehicles before he pulled over on Trinity Road.

Skinner is charged with felony fleeing a law enforcement officer, DUI-first, and traffic violations.
