COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi University for Women is armed with a new branding initiative it hopes will help lure students who normally wouldn't look at attending the Columbus school.
On Monday, idgroup reported the findings of a series of six meetings held last year to talk about ways to get a better understanding of what the school is, how faculty, students, and alumni perceive it, and its future growth.
The group suggested the school begin to use the slogan "To Dare. To Dream. To Achieve."
MUW President Jim Borsig the school wanted to hear from as many people as possible to understand what the school is and what it can become.
He says the school was founded to serve students who lacked an access to higher education.
Borsig says the school remains true to tradition, but needs to redefine that mission as it evolves.
