Federal charges filed in enticement case

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Caledonia man now faces a two-count federal indictment for enticement of a child .

Lowndes County authorities arrested Kevin Ross Smith, 30, of Wolfe Road on two occassions in September and October after they say he sent sexually explicit messages to underage girls through a social media website.

The federal indictment says he internet and cellphone communications to try to arrange to meet a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old for sexual purposes.

Smith is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in U. S. District Court in Aberdeen.
