COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Early Wednesday morning, agents with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit, along with uniformed deputies, conducted early morning raids in and around Columbus and Lowndes County.
Agents were searching for 17 drug offenders on 44 various charges.
Those charges ranged from the sale of cocaine, marijuana, and pharmaceutical drugs.
The arrests resulted from undercover investigations over the past year.
So far, eight people have been arrested.
The search continues for nine others wanted as part of the investigation.
