COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Columbus man awaits an initial court appearance after being charged in connection with a 2011 murder.
Javorose Yarbrough, 18, turned himself in to the Columbus Police Department Friday after a warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this week.
Authorities say Yarbrough is charged in connection with the murder of William Lavell Vaughn. Vaughn was shot and killed on Sept 22, 2011, at the 2500 block of 6th Avenue North.
Specific charges were not released.
Police spokesperson Glenda Buckhalter said Yarbrough's initial appearance will be on Monday.
