COLUMBUS, Miss. (WtVA) -- Columbus Police say their first gun buy back program is a huge success.
A line quickly formed outside all four locations including Wal-Mart.
The city set aside $10,000 for the event. Money was gone in less than two hours.
Columbus Police Chief Selvain McQueen says this is not a gun control program. He says this is a public awareness program set up to save lives.
