COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle has been honored for its efforts to provide a safe environment for its patients.

The medical center recently received a hospital safety score of “A” from the Leapfrog Group.

The safety score is calculated based on several core measures, including safe practice measures, surgical care improvement project measures and patient safety indicators.

Paul Cade, administrator and CEO of Baptist Golden Triangle says they work hard every day to provide high-quality, patient-focused care to everyone.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national non-profit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits.

BMH-GTR has 315 beds, more than 100 physicians and surgeons, and employs over 1,000 people.
