COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office says a man is behind bars, wanted in connection with an attempted burglary.
Investigators say Kevin Kenta Holliday, 36, of Columbus, is accused of attempting a burglary in the Thornton Estates area in East Lowndes County.
Authorities say the victim told deputies the suspect knocked on the door and before he could answer, Holliday opened the door and entered the residence.
The victim says he confronted Holliday, and before Holliday could leave, the victim took pictures of his vehicle.
Investigators say the pictures helped the sheriff's office locate Holliday and charge him with attempted burglary.
A search warrant was executed on Holliday's residence and items believed to be involved in other crimes were recovered.
Authorities say Holliday could face other charges as the investigation continues.
No bond has been set at this time.
