TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The holiday season is highlighted by shopping for presents for others.
There are four days left until Christmas and the Mall at Barnes Crossing was looking even busier than Black Friday.
This time, last minute shopping is the reason for the rush.
"Last minute man, still got to go. I'll probably have to come up here early in the morning. This is my first day and I'll probably have a second and a third day. It's crazy man, it's crazy," said Exie Glenn of Amory.
The crowds at the mall signified that it just might be busier than Black Friday.
Some shoppers agreed with that notion.
"Yeah, it seems a lot busier than Black Friday. I think this year, everyone was trying to get things online, and what they couldn't get, they're here trying to get them today," said Larry Beckley of Pontotoc.
Some customers felt that even though it's just as busy or busier than Black Friday, that it's not a hectic shopping experience.
"It's not nearly as much of a hastle, even though it seems the business would be pretty good. It's more family friendly. Today is less of a worry I guess. You don't see anyone fighting over a flat-screen TV," added Jesse Blount.
"It's the only time I can come by shopping because of work and this is the stuff you have to deal with. The only thing hard about it is finding certian sizes on certain things and some things are just going away now," said Austin Esting of Blue Springs.
The Mall at Barnes Crossing stays open until 10 p.m. on Saturday and till 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
