TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Boys and Girls Club served up hundreds of burgers Thursday during their first ever Spring Burger Bash.

According to Boys and Girls Club representatives, they pre-sold over 200 burgers leaving about 500 left to sell.

All of the food the club cooked up today was donated; therefore, all the funds generated will go towards the local Boys and Girls Club.

Volunteers from the club and Sam's Club forces to help run today's burger bash.

"We have one in the Fall and we decided since we have a lot of success with the one in the Fall, we decided to do one in the Spring... Especially with the clubs Summer programs coming up, this will really help fund all the actives we do with the kids," said Shipman Sloam, Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club advisory board.

The Boys and Girls Club were able to sell all the burgers.

From the sale and collection of donations, they were able to raise $4,835.90.
