SHANNON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Shannon Board of Alderman ended a meeting Tuesday night with no change in their decision on a bar request.

The bar's owner had requested a license to open the bar that would cater to homosexuals, bisexuals and those who are transgender.

Tuesday night's meeting was originally scheduled for last Tuesday.

In June, the board voted four to one to deny a special exception license.

On Tuesday night, Shannon Mayor Ronnie Hallmark tells WTVA.com that the board took no vote and let stand their previous decision.

The Southern Poverty Law Center had previously threatened legal action over the issue.
