TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Tupelo Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary can make enough cornbread dressing to feed up to 3,000 people in just a few hours.

Not only do they make it fast, they follow up to 25 recipes.

The prep work actually begins in the homes of the volunteers.

When they arrive at the Salvation Army kitchen, it's a matter of mixing it all together.

They fill 45 large aluminum pans.

The ladies say those that help deliver the meals deserve the most recognition.

"All of the people working on Thanksgiving Day are volunteers from every walk of life. They're not all working for the Salvation Army or working for one place, but they come together on this occasion to help with the deliveries," Dressing Committee Chairperson Janie Smith said.

If you would like a meal delivered or to volunteer on Thanksgiving Day, call the Tupelo Salvation Army at 842-9222.

The delivery area includes Lee, Union, Prentiss and north Monroe Counties.
