TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The sweet aroma of roses filled the air of the Renasant Bank in Downtown Tupelo Thursday.
The bank lobby was the location of the 14th Annual Northeast Mississippi Rose Society's, Rose Show.
The show is usually held around Mother's day but due to recent weather, this year's show had to be postponed.
Members of the society say they are pleased with the number of roses in this year's show.
Participants competed in several different classes including, fully opened roses and miniature roses.
"The weathers' been so cold that most of us did not have very many blooms and so we called most of the members of the Society and agreed that if we could wait one more week we'd have lots more roses and the weather cooperated and you see the results," said Lee Caldwell, Co-Chair of the Rose Show.
The Queen of the show went to Lee Pryor Caldwell with her flower, "Veterans Honor" and Best of Show went to Emily Hall with her flower, "Radiant Perfume."
