TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A one-vehicle pursuit in Tupelo Saturday night has ended with a suspect in custody.
Tupelo Police Lt. Chuck McDougal said it took place about 8:29 p.m.
He said an officer tried to initiate a traffic stop around the Highway 45/Main Street area when the suspect failed to stop.
Police chased the individual until the suspect lost control and hit a tree off Tedford Street.
The unidentified driver was quickly taken into custody.
Lt. McDougal says multiple charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
