TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The sky is the limit!
That's one way to describe the popular North Mississippi Aviation expo.
The event is well underway at the Tupelo Regional Airport.
The public is encouraged to tour hangars where aircraft are on display.
Various other aircraft are are also on display including vintage plants and helicopters used during the Vietnam war to present day.
"Hopefully, we'll see some young people here today and get them out and take them for a ride and let them see a part of what it was like 20,30,40 years ago to be in Army aviation in its infancy," Army Aviation Heritage Foundation spokesperson Bruce Whitley said.
"You look at the new planes now and they're nothing like this inside and as far as the engine goes, they've updated a lot of different things," Tupelo Vocational Education Teacher Jordan Hopper said.
"Oh! It's a lot of fun. We enjoy coming out. It's a four-day event-two days for the public. A lot of work goes into it, but I'd rather be here than any place else I know," Vietnam Veterans of America State Council President Rex Moody said.
The expo is hosted by the Marine Corps League of Tupelo.
