TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Tupelo City Council agreed Tuesday to accept a bid by Century Construction of Tupelo to demolish the larger sections of the old Trace Inn.

The bid amount is $114,000, and Century beat out five other companies for the job.

The Tupelo Public Works Department is in the process of demolishing smaller sections of the inn on West Main Street.

In other action, city leaders unanimously approved a special committee to study redistricting of wards as a result of the recent annexation.
