VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Employees of the Three Rivers Planning and Development District volunteered for over seven hours on Saturday to help run a household waste collection day.
People had the opportunity to drop off old electronics, computer monitors, television sets, paints, chemicals, oil, and gas at the Lee County Agri-Center.

Organizers also accepted appliances such as water heaters, vacuums, microwaves, old tires, fertilizer, and old medication.

Items collected are either crushed or recycled to be properly disposed.
