SALTILLO, Miss. (WTVA) -- It's a day of golf for a good cause.

The first annual Woodmen of the World charity golf tournament was held Thursday at the Natchez Trace Golf Course in Saltillo.

Woodmen, Modern Woodmen and Woodmen of the World Insurance Counselors picked up a club to raise money for the Sanctuary Hospice House.

The thirteen hole scramble attracted close to forty participants.

"I haven't been able to benefit from them personally, but I have friends and family that have so it's something that always (has) been real good to them," Woodmen of the World Field Representative Ben Buchanan said.

All proceeds from the tournament will be matched by the home office of the Modern Woodmen of America.
