TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Spain House will move to its new location on Thursday.
Tupelo Water and Light Director Johnny Timmons says crews spent part of Wednesday moving power lines and removing traffic signals along the route.
He says the house is in four sections and will begin moving at 7 a.m.
Timmons says the house will move east on Magazine Street and then turn south of Church Street.
The home will be moved onto a new foundation north of the Lee County Health Department and east of the Carnation Milk Plant.
Doyce Deas, Tupelo Historic Preservation Society, says the mover hopes to have the house in place by noon.
