TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Organizers of the Gum Tree Run have announced a new sponsor.
Renasant Bank has joined forces with longtime sponsor AT&T.
Gum Tree Run director Andy Hughes celebrated the new sponsor during a news conference Tuesday in Tupelo.
Sponsors provide $4,000 each to help with expenses for the road race.
They will help out with race day preparations.
Proceeds from the Gum Tree Run will go toward Habitat for Humanity.
"It's a good way to help Habitat for Humanity, so we're very excited to be able to be a part of this event in Tupelo, Mississippi," AT&T Regional Director of External Affairs Gunner Goad said.
"We're excited to be a part of the Healthy City initiatives in Tupelo, and this is Mississippi's largest 10K," Renasant Bank Director of External Affairs John Oxford said.
