HOUSTON, Tex. (WTVA) -- A federal judge has set a sentencing date in January for the former chief financial officer of Stanford Financial Group.
James Davis of Baldwyn pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud and conspiracy in August of 2009.
The charges stem from a federal investigation of Stanford Financial Group.
Davis is among three people charged with defrauding investors of over $7 billion in a Ponzi scheme.
The federal judge set his sentencing for January 22 at 9 a.m. in U. S. District Court in Houston, Texas.
