TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Crews will be doing a cross drain installation on Wednesday, January 16, at South Green Street, north of the BNSF railroad crossing.
The work will take place from 8:00a.m. until 5:00p.m.
The crews will have the cross drain in place before the railroad begins work on Monday, January 21.
There will be message boards, barricades, and signs to help the traffic move around the work zone.
Drivers of large trucks are being asked to use South Spring Street as an alternate route.
No traffic will be allowed through the work zone between Clark and Elliot Street.
All homes and businesses will have access and not be blocked to the public.
Officials say the weather will be a factor and the project may also continue on until Thursday morning.
